The Russian Ministry of Defense has made public the movement of a column of T-14 “Armata” tanks. The film was first shown to the public on December 25, when it was uploaded to the Russian Spring website. More information needs to be given about where the tanks’ battle drills are held.
There were reports that T-14 Armata tanks would start doing combat missions in the war zone between Russia and Ukraine at the start of the next year. At the same time, video frames showed a line of heavy combat vehicles marching. This could mean that these tanks will be sent to the front lines in the next few weeks or days.
As the video shows, at least three T-14 Armata tanks in a tank battalion are putting their training in mobility to the test.
Some sources say that ground-based deployment duties are being practised right now, while others say that a column of military equipment is currently on the move. Different people have said both of these things. This may be true because this piece of military equipment can be moved as a group.
No official information has been released about how many T-14 Armata tanks the Russian army has, but it is thought that there are around 30 of them.
In August 2021, a test run of the latest version of the T-14 tank was sent to the Russian Ministry of Defense for evaluation.
In July of the same year, Denis Manturov, the head of Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that mass production of the T-14 Armata would start in Russia in 2022.
During the special operations, Russia sent almost all of its tanks to Ukraine, including the T-90M Proryv, which didn’t officially start being used until April 2020. In October, a single T-14 was seen in the Lugansk People’s Republic settlement of Midginskaya (LPR).
T-14 Armata tanks will serve as mobile headquarters
Izvestia talked to people in the Ministry of Defense in February 2021, and they said that the T-14 tank will change into a real mobile headquarters. This will be possible because of a one-of-a-kind automated control system that will let commanders control other combat vehicles in real time with the help of the Armata.
The commander of a tank company or battalion will be able to see on a one-of-a-kind screen inside the “Armata” not only where the enemy’s combat vehicles are, but also where his own combat vehicles are, what their mission is, how well they are working right now, and how much ammunition they have.
The commander has to point to a certain area or target and press a few keys to give a command. The commander will be able to give orders for artillery and air strikes in real time.
Since the end of World War II, the Soviets have been making changes to the main battle tanks’ command systems. The T-62K, the T-72K, the T-80UK, and other versions were made for command. The commanders of the battalions in charge of these vehicles tell them what to do. The Russian army has made more than 100 tactical groups that are ready to be sent out right away. These groups are made up of contractors.
