Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi Pays A Visit To The Southern Naval Command

Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, along with his wife Mrs. Shashi Tripathi, President of Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), made his first visit to Southern Naval Command (SNC) in Kochi on August 26th following his appointment.
Upon arrival, the CNS was greeted with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Garuda. During the visit, he engaged with Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command and received an update on the progress of training, operations, infrastructure and administration within the Command.
As a Training Command of the Indian Navy, a comprehensive overview of the training program and advancements in facilities and modernization projects were also shared. The CNS was briefed on disaster relief efforts following the Wayanad landslides and commended the Command for their diligent work. He took note of their accomplishments and expressed his appreciation for their dedication.
Additionally, the CNS will deliver a speech to the members of SNC, including officers, sailors, trainees, and defence civilians, to discuss his vision and expectations. He will also make a visit to his former educational institution, Signal School, where he obtained his specialization in Communication and Electronic Warfare.

During his visit, the CNS also met with the Navy’s successful football and volleyball teams and commended them for their inter-services victories this year. Additionally, the CNS inaugurated the new Yard Utility Complex at Naval Ship Repair Yard (Kochi), providing essential maintenance services for the yard’s extensive fleet of mobile assets and specialist utility vehicles.
