Lt. Gen. Devendra Sharma Is Now The Chief Of Staff For Western Command

Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma became the Chief of Staff of the Western Command of the Indian Army on Tuesday. An official release said that Sharma paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Western Command by laying a wreath at the “Veer Smriti” war memorial.

The Lieutenant General went to both the Indian Military Academy and the National Defense Academy.

Sharma had a long and successful career that spanned more than 30 years. He was in charge of an armored battalion, an armored brigade, an infantry division, and a Corps, all in the Western sector, it said.

The Sena Medal for Gallantry, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for outstanding service, and the United Nations Force Commander’s Commendation were all given to him for his good work.

As Chief of Staff at the headquarters for Western Command, he will be in charge of many tactical and administrative projects in the Western theater.
