Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorist Killed In Encounter In J&K’s Pulwama

Police say that a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed Thursday in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir during a shootout with security troops.
In Jammu and Kashmir, this was the first time in more than three months that rebels and police had met.
An official from the police said that they had set up a cordoPulwaman and searched the village of Fressipora in the Rajpora area of the south Kashmir district after getting information that terrorists were there.
He said that the search turned into a fight when the terrorists opened fire on the police, who then fired back.
A police spokesman said that during the next fight, a terrorist was killed.
The killer ultra was named as Danish Sheikh, who lived in Srinagar. The spokesman also said that he was connected to the banned TRF.
The Resistance Front, or TRF, is a group that grew out of the LeT.
