Indian Air Force Stands Ready For Evacuation Of Indians In Israel

Officials from the Indian Air Force said on Thursday that their planes have been kept ready in case they need to bring Indian citizens back from Israel during the war with Hamas.

They say that the IAF’s fleet of transport aircraft includes heavy-lift transport planes like the C-17 and IL-76, as well as special operations planes like the C-130J Super Hercules that have been used for evacuations in the past.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started “Operation Ajay” to bring back about 18,000 Indians who were in Israel during the war between Israel and Hamas. The process of registering Indians began on Thursday.

Help is being given to Indian businesses by the Indian embassy in Israel, which has also set up a helpline for Indian people who need it.

“Today late in the evening, a private flight will arrive in Tel Aviv. It’s believed that 230 people will board. The MEA spokesperson on “Operation Ajay” said, “We have all of our options, but the IAF’s role in the evacuation can’t be ruled out.”

As the violence got worse yesterday, the MEA set up a control room that was open 24 hours a day. The control room will help keep an eye on things and give information and help.

An earlier meeting to talk about getting ready for “Operation Ajay” was led by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

The Israeli Defense Forces said that Hamas brought ISIS flags to Israel when they broke into different parts of South Israel over the weekend.

The Israeli Defense Forces said on X, “Hamas brought ISIS flags to kill Israeli children, women, and men.” Hamas is a terrorist group that kills people. ISIS is not as bad as Hamas.

Hebrew news outlets told The Times of Israel that since the Hamas attack on October 7, 1,300 people have died and 3,300 have been hurt, with 28 being in critical condition and 350 in serious condition. The report said it was still not clear what happened to the 150 people that Hamas took hostage and took to the Gaza Strip during the attack.

The Times of Israel reported that a spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said that the military has already told the families of 97 hostages held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
