France Committed To The Make In India Initiative: French Envoy

Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain said that French businesses are committed to India’s “Make in India” policy. He also said that he thinks France and India should work towards strategic autonomy.
“French companies have been at the forefront of the “Make in India” movement for decades, and more and more of them are working with Indian companies to make weapons of the future. We really think we should work together to achieve strategic autonomy “, the French Ambassador said this.
Aero India 2023 started today at the Air Force Station at Yelahanka airbase in Bengaluru. This is the 14th time that the event has been held.

Alex Chalk, who is the UK’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Defence, said that he is “delighted” to be here at the Aero India 2023 event with other delegates.
“India is a great country already, but it’s just getting started. It has a lot of potential, we’re happy to be here, and we want to help “he said.
“We understand that India is at a point where it wants to build up its own capabilities. So that it can export arms and weapons on its own terms, which is good for India because a strong India and region are good for the whole world. This is where we want to help, “Added the UK Minister of State.
Earlier, British High Commissioner Alex Ellis also said that the UK wanted to expand and deepen its relationship with India in the area of defence, especially with the air force.
The British High Commissioner said that the UK is sending the biggest group to Aero India that has ever happened.
He also said, “They are here because they make the best aircraft engines in the world and want to work more closely with the Indian government and companies.”
At the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India used to buy the most weapons, but now it sells weapons to 75 other countries.
