‘Exercise Tiger Triumph’: India, US Navy Warships Conduct Joint Operations In Kakinada

On Friday, amphibious warships from the Indian Navy and the US Navy carried out operations in the Kakinada region of Andhra Pradesh as part of the ongoing “Tiger Triumph 2024” drill between the two countries.

An official statement says that during the drill, the ships’ integral craft were used to carry out different tasks.

Aside from that, Cross Deck helicopter operations took place between Indian Navy and US Navy ships off of Kakinada.

The smooth running of many coordinated actions shows that they were planned and carried out by both sides, proving that their armed forces can work together very well.

Wednesday was the start of the Sea Phase of Exercise Tiger Triumph 2024. Ships from the Indian Navy and the US Navy set sail together.

During this part in Visakhapatnam, service members from both countries will practice different aspects of amphibious operations, such as coordinating HADR and MEDEVAC.

India, the US, and the UK are all taking part in Exercise “Tiger Triumph 2024,” which runs from March 18th to March 31st.

On March 19, the drill began with a ceremony on board the INS Jalashwa.

On Sunday morning, there was a pre-sail conference in Visakhapatnam to talk about the details of the upcoming sea part of Exercise Tiger Triumph 2024.

The leaders were shown the plans, and the commanding officers of units from the Indian Navy and the US Navy that were taking part were also there.

Notably, the exercise’s main goals are to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build interoperability for disaster relief operations so that troops from both countries can work together quickly and easily.

The Ministry of Defence said in a press release that the exercise would include Indian Navy ships with landing craft and helicopters on board, Indian Navy aircraft, Indian Army soldiers and vehicles, Indian Air Force aircraft and helicopters, and the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT).
