On Monday, 76th Army Day, General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, sent his wishes.

While talking to the troops, General Manoj Pandey remembered the heroes who gave their lives for the country.

On this Army Day (2024), I want to send my best wishes to all members of the Indian Army, as well as to civilian workers, veterans, and their families. We honor our brothers and sisters who gave their lives for their country and remember them with deep sadness. “We will always be moved by their ultimate sacrifice,” he said.

“The Indian Army plays a very important part in keeping things safe and stable so that the country’s progress doesn’t stop.” We need to stay strong-willed about that and get stronger every day. “I urge everyone in the “Olive Green” community to remain resolute in their efforts to protect the country from security threats,” he said.

In addition, the Chief of Army Staff said that 2024 would be the “Year of Technology Absorption” for the Indian Army. This theme shows how the Army is trying to use technology to bring about big changes.

“The nature of war is always changing.” We started a process of whole-person change last year to get ready for the future. A lot of important goals have been met and we’ve made good progress. Our work to build people’s skills is based on Atmanirbharta, which we are fully committed to. As part of the Transformation Roadmap, General Manoj Pande said, “the change to become a modern, flexible, adaptable, and tech-enabled force ready for the future will continue.”

Additionally, he said that the Army’s duty to the veterans, Veer Naris, and their families was a sacred duty. He said, “Efforts to enhance welfare programs, proactively reach out to them, and address their grievances must remain a focal point for commanders at all levels.”

“In the minds of people across the country, the Indian Army has a special place.” I have no doubt that we will always be determined to keep the trust that the country has put in us. Let us promise to serve the country again, in line with our core value of “Naam” (our name) and “Namak” (our way of life). No changes were made to the original sentence.
