HAL Delivers Two Dornier 228 Planes To Guyana Defence Force: President Ali

President Mohamed Irfaan Ali of Guyana said on Monday that the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) had sent two Dornier 228 planes to the Guyana Defense Force.

He wrote about it on X and included pictures of the delivery planes.

The Guyana Defense Force got two Dornier 228 planes from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HALHQBLR). Two Boeing C-17 Globemaster military transport planes brought the planes to Cheddi Jagan International Airport last night, he wrote on his X account.

The Indian High Commission in Guyana wrote on X that they were happy to see an IAF team coming to give the HAL-228 plane as part of a Line of Credit from India to Guyana. The relationship between India and Guyana is starting a new phase.

This happened more than a year after the president of Guyanese and his team went to India to visit a HAL facility.

President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali (fourth from right), and his team visited HAL’s Kanpur Division and praised the company’s high level of technology. “The delegation was very interested in the Hindustan 228 aircraft,” HAL wrote on X on January 13, 2023.

A few months later, a group from HAL went to see and meet President Ali as a follow-up to his early 2023 trip to India.
