CDS General Anil Chauhan Engages In Security Talks With International Chiefs

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan met with the heads of defense from friendly countries in Delhi while the Raisina Dialogue was going on. So, defense sources said.

General Chauhan met with the defense chiefs of other countries on Thursday to talk about security issues and ways to improve defense cooperation.

General Chauhan was joined by other top Indian defense officials.

The CDS met with the Chief Admiral of the French Navy, Nicolas Vaujour, earlier on Thursday. They talked about issues that were important to both sides, such as security problems in the Indian Ocean region and ways to work together more on the water. The two sides agreed that defense relations between the two countries had made a lot of progress.

“Admiral Nicolas Vaujour, French Chief of Naval Staff, called on General Anil Chauhan, #CDS_India,” Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff wrote in a post on X. There were talks about problems of common strategic interest, security issues in the Indian Ocean Region, and ways to improve maritime cooperation. This confirmed the big steps forward in defense cooperation between the two countries.

The Raisina Dialogue is India’s most important meeting on geopolitics and geoeconomics. Its goal is to talk about the world’s toughest problems.

From February 21st to 23rd, the ninth Raisina Dialogue will take place in Delhi.

The summit’s Chief Guest and main speaker is Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the prime minister of Greece. The Raisina Dialogue began here on Wednesday evening with him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in charge.

Together with the Observer Research Foundation, the Ministry of External Affairs is putting it together.

The Raisina Dialogue is made up of people from more than 100 different countries who are ministers, national security advisors, top officials, and people from business, technology, finance, and other fields.

The Ministry of External Affairs says that the Raisina Dialogue is based on the themes “Tech Frontiers: Regulations and Realities,” Peace on Earth: Spend money and come up with new ideas, War and Peace: Arms and Asymmetries, Decolonizing Multilateralism: Institutions and Inclusion, and The Post-2030 Agenda: People and Progress are some of the topics that will be covered.
