Two BSF members were hurt when Pakistan Rangers opened fire across the border without a reason at a forward post on the Indo-Pak border here, officials said on Friday. The Border Security Force (BSF) has filed a protest with the Pakistan Rangers.
Some people say that the BSF and Pakistan Rangers talked about the problem at a flag meeting held at a border outpost (BoP) along the International Border (IB) in the R S Pura sector on Thursday evening. The meeting was attended by commandants.
Officials say that two BSF members were hurt on Tuesday when Pakistan Rangers “resorted to unprovoked firing” on border guards along the IB at the Vikram BoP in the Arnia sector here.
During the meeting, BSF officials also talked about drug smuggling from across the border. They said they have pictures of drug dealers who have been killed by the force.
As usual, they said, Pakistan Rangers denied having anything to do with it.
