Astra Missile With 100 Km Range Successfully Tested, To Be Installed On Tejas Mark 1A Jet

Tuesday, the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) tested the Astra air-to-air missile system off the coast of Odisha. The test went well. When fired from a Su-30MKI fighter jet, the missile can hit targets more than 100 km away. Defense officials said it will be put on the country’s own LCA Tejas Mark1A fighter plane.
