The army is promoting Kaman Post in Uri along the Line of Control as a place to visit in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. Kaman Post is one of the most popular places to visit, especially for tours that are meant to inspire school- and college-aged children. People especially like the post because they can see across the Line of Control. The Army plans trips for students to teach them about the importance of the Kaman Post.
“I have come to Kaman post before. The Army has fixed up the area and put up information about the rulers of Jammu Kashmir and the brave Indian soldiers who gave their lives for the country. Tourists and locals who go to this place will learn about its history and other things “Pervez Majeed, a local told me.
Faisal Iqbal Khan, a Sarpanch, said that the new version of Kaman Post would teach visitors about the soldiers who made the greatest sacrifices during wartime. “A lot of new things have been added here. Like the details of soldiers who gave up their lives. It’s a beautiful place. There is now a way to turn around, “Khan added.
A few years ago, the Army fixed up the cafeteria at the Kaman Post and put up a national flag pole that is 60 feet tall. Kaman post is seeing a lot of tourists right now, and locals hope that in the coming months, it will become a major tourist destination. Anamika, a tourist from Patna, said she was thankful to the local people.
“I’ve come here before. I am delighted. I looked into its history. I learned a lot about the history of my country, too. People there are very friendly, “Anamika said.
Zara Khan, a student, said, “I’ve already been here. But I’m enjoying this time a little more. I am very grateful to the Indian army for giving us another chance to come here. I would like to ask everyone to come here.”
