Army Central Command Chief Leads Para Jump On Penultimate Day Of Service

Lt. Gen. Yogendra Dimri was the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Command. A day before he retired, he led the Shatrujeet paratroopers in a command jump at Agra.

Lt. Gen. Dimri was one of the 70 people who took part in the parachute jump. Their motto was “Men Apart, Every Man an Emperor,” which means that every man is a king.

Lt. Gen. Y. Dimri will retire from the Indian Army on February 28, 2023, after nearly 40 years of service.

This is the first time an Army Commander has done a parachute jump on the day before his last day of duty.

Veterans, Veer Naris, troops, and the families of the “Maroon Beret” fraternity were there to watch the jump.

“The jump showed how committed and dedicated the General was to the Indian Army,” the official said.

Lt. Gen. Dimri took the chance to talk to veterans and thank them for their service.

Dimri also went to see his parent unit, the 411 (Independent) Para Field Company, where he saw a demonstration of unarmed combat techniques in a new arena that gives troops state-of-the-art facilities for unarmed combat.
