Police say that an explosion in the Anantnag area of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday hurt eight people.

But cops said there was no evidence of terrorism because the explosion happened in a “load carrier” vehicle that had a concrete vibration machine, a portable generator, and an oil can in it.

Police in Kashmir’s Anantnag Zone said in a post on X that an explosion happened in a cement mix settling vibration machine, a portable generator next to it, and an oil can that workers were carrying in a load carrier.

Eight workers were burned and are being treated at a hospital, according to the cops.

“Everything is fine. There was no terrorist angle seen. “An investigation has begun,” the cops said in the post.
