On Tuesday, when the NDA government celebrated its 100th day in office, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasised that the central government is working hard to make India completely Aatmanirbhar when it comes to defence issues.
Singh told the plan for the first 100 days had been made ahead of time and that the government made a number of important decisions during that time.
“The first 100 days of the third term of our government are over.” Today, as we reach the end of the 100 days, is also PM Modi’s birthday. I think this is a happy accident. In terms of our government, I can say that we were sure that the NDA, led by PM Modi, would be in charge for the third term even before this government was formed. In that cabinet meeting, PM Modi said that all ministries should make a plan for the work that needs to be done in the first 100 days after the new government is formed. “The plans were made ahead of time,” Singh said.
“Once the cabinet was put together, all decisions related to it were made right away, and we began giving it its final shape.” There are a few big decisions that I think our government made that stand out. When it comes to defence, we want to make India completely Aatmanirbhar. “The positive indigenisation list had more than 501 items on it,” he said.
Singh said that the opposition parties were “wasting the country’s time and resources,” which was a harsh criticism.
“The opposition can keep saying whatever it wants to say.” We still want to work, though. We really want to make India a Viksit Bharat. That goal will be reached. The Defence Minister said, “If I use cricket to describe the first 100 days of the NDA government, our government quickly scored from the first over and has been increasing the runs of the country. On the other hand, the opposition is wasting the country’s time and resources by throwing no ball and wide ball.”
While in the US, Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP and Lok Sabha LoP, said bad things about the central government. Singh told him, “Let him say.” He doesn’t seem to be telling the truth when he talks. He goes to other countries and tries to make those countries look bad. This seems like an irony to me.
Earlier on Monday, PM Modi said that he had done everything possible to complete the tasks that were on his list for the first 100 days of his third term in office. He also said that the government’s decisions were meant to make people’s lives better.
“When I ran for Lok Sabha, I promised the people of my country that the first 100 days of my third term would bring about decisions that have never been made before.” I did everything I could to meet the 100-day plan over the last 100 days. I did everything I could in India and other places. I was sent to Delhi because you made me promise to put the country first. I didn’t wake up at night and worked hard all day to finish the 100-day plan. No matter where they were, in the country or abroad, they did everything they could. They didn’t leave any stone unturned, he said.
