Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a new long-term agreement worth nearly £125 million with Rolls-Royce, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the global aerospace manufacturing sector. The agreement has been secured through Sigma’s UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions, and will involve the manufacture of precision-engineered components for Rolls-Royce.
Under the new agreement, Bromford Precision Solutions will produce a range of critical aero-engine components, including engine rings, casings, lock plates and other complex engine structures. The components will be manufactured using Sigma’s combined capabilities in the United Kingdom and India, strengthening the company’s role in Rolls-Royce’s international supply chain.
The agreement does not involve the production of complete Rolls-Royce engines. Instead, Sigma Advanced Systems will supply specialised components that are used as part of aero-engine systems. This places the company in an important position within the high-precision aerospace manufacturing supply chain, where components must meet stringent engineering and quality requirements.
The latest £125 million Rolls-Royce agreement builds on an earlier long-term arrangement between the two companies valued at approximately £300 million. With the new agreement added, the combined value of Sigma Advanced Systems’ two Rolls-Royce arrangements has reached approximately £425 million.
The development comes after Sigma’s acquisition of Bromford Precision Solutions, a UK-based aerospace manufacturing company with expertise in producing complex components for the aviation and aerospace sectors. Bromford’s capabilities include the production of compressor casings, ducts, brackets, lock plates and other precision-engineered parts.
The acquisition has given Sigma Advanced Systems a stronger manufacturing presence in the United Kingdom while allowing the company to integrate Bromford’s established aerospace expertise with its production capabilities in India. The latest Rolls-Royce agreement demonstrates the commercial importance of this expanded India-UK manufacturing network.
For Rolls-Royce, the arrangement provides access to additional manufacturing capacity for specialised aero-engine components. For Sigma, the agreement creates an opportunity to deepen its relationship with a major global aerospace manufacturer and increase its participation in long-term international aerospace programmes.
