Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend about six hours with the top military leaders of the country in Bhopal. He will talk with them about the country’s current and future security problems.
The Combined Commanders’ Conference is going to be held from March 30 to April 1. The Prime Minister is also going to be there on the last day to see some of the new defense ideas that have been made in India (April 1)
Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari will all be there with the Prime Minister.
They said that the innovations that will be shown to the Prime Minister for about an hour will include both technologies and products made by private companies and those made by people in the three defense forces.
The Indian Navy is in charge of putting on the combined commanders conference this time. It is being held in the Kushabhau Thakre Hall in Bhopal.
On March 30, the first day of the event, Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan is expected to talk to the top military leaders, including the heads of the three services.
The forces will also give the Prime Minister updates on what they are doing and what they are trying to do to work better together.
There are a number of new plans in the works, such as the creation of theater commands. These commanders would deal with threats to the country, while services headquarters would handle staff work like buying supplies and training.
On March 31, the services will likely meet with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to talk about their different plans.
During his speech, the Prime Minister is expected to tell the forces how the government feels about different global and regional issues and what they should do about them.
During these talks with top defense officials, the Prime Minister had asked the forces to work together better and get ready for a coordinated response to future threats.
Asmi, a machine pistol made by Lt. Col. Prasad Bansod of the Indian Army, is likely to be one of the innovations that will be shown to the Prime Minister. The Army is also likely to show off many other pieces of assault gear.
The Navy and Air Force are also expected to come up with new ideas that can help them get ready for battle and reduce the amount of things they have to import.
In addition to the CDS and the service chiefs, there will be three Vice Chiefs of the CISC, seven Army command chiefs, six air command chiefs, and three Indian Navy command chiefs at the event.
Once the theater commands come up, it’s likely that some of the commands from the three services will be merged.
