Indian Navy Opens Advanced Public Information Centre in Gurugram

INS Aravali aims to connect citizens with the Navy’s operations, history, and career opportunities.

The Indian Navy has unveiled a new Information Centre in Gurugram, named INS Aravali, designed to strengthen its engagement with the public and provide insight into its operations. The centre will be officially commissioned today by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Tripathi.

INS Aravali is set to become a key venue for showcasing the Navy’s achievements, advanced technology, and career prospects. It is envisioned as a space where students, defence enthusiasts, and the general public can learn about India’s maritime security, naval history, and the Navy’s strategic role in safeguarding national interests.

Apart from exhibitions and interactive displays, the centre will host workshops, seminars, and awareness programs to foster maritime knowledge and encourage young talent to consider naval careers. The facility represents the Navy’s commitment to bridging the gap between defence operations and public understanding.

Officials stated that by establishing INS Aravali in Gurugram, the Indian Navy is expanding its outreach beyond coastal cities, bringing maritime awareness closer to urban populations. The centre is expected to inspire greater participation and interest in naval initiatives among citizens of the National Capital Region.

With the operationalization of INS Aravali, the Indian Navy takes another step toward transparency, education, and community engagement, ensuring that the public gains a closer look at one of India’s most critical defence forces.
