In a joint action, the Romeo Force of the Indian Army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Poonch Police were able to destroy 61 explosives, including 11 live bombs, in Seri Chowana village, Jammu and Kashmir. During a careful operation to prevent unrest and terrorism in the area, security forces found a stash of dangerous materials that posed a serious threat to public safety.
According to a video that was shared, the action was another big step in the efforts of security staff to keep peace and stability in the area.
DGP Dilbag Singh of Jammu and Kashmir said on Saturday that Pakistani agencies are trying to keep the “gasping and dying” terrorism alive, but the anti-infiltration grid along the Line of Control (LoC) is working. After starting the Jashn-e-Dal festival here, he told reporters that India and Pakistan are “by and large” following the ceasefire deal along the Line of Control. Singh says that there have been some efforts by terrorists to get in.

“Both sides are honoring the cease-fire agreement, but there have been some attempts to sneak in, especially in the Rajouri-Poonch sector and the Kupwara sector,” said the director general of police (DGP). “We have done something about the groups that were trying to get in.”
Singh says that even though some efforts to sneak in have been successful, the number of terrorists who have been able to do so has been very low. “Pakistani agencies are trying to keep militancy, which is gasping for air and dying, alive by doing things like this, but our anti-infiltration grid along the LoC is on guard and doing its job,” he said.
“Nearly a half-dozen similar plans have been stopped in the past. “There were a few successful infiltration attempts in the Poonch-Rajouri area, where it is thought that Pakistani terrorists came in and attacked both regular people and some security personnel,” he said. The DGP said, “Operations are going on to find them and stop these plans.”
