New Delhi, August 28, 2025 – India and Saudi Arabia further cemented their defence partnership by holding the 7th Joint Committee on Defence Cooperation (JCDC) meeting in New Delhi. The session reflected growing strategic trust and cooperation between the two nations in the areas of security, defence technology, and training.
The meeting was co-chaired by India’s Joint Secretary Amitabh Prasad and Saudi Arabia’s Maj. Gen. Saad Mohammed H. Alkathiri.

- Follow-up on Previous Decisions: Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress made since the last JCDC meeting.
- Defence Training & Skill Development: India extended new training opportunities to Saudi forces, covering cybersecurity, IT systems, disaster response, and tactical communications.
- Industrial Collaboration: The Indian delegation showcased Made in India defence technologies, with discussions on possible joint manufacturing projects in the future.
- Maritime & Multidomain Cooperation: Both countries discussed strengthening maritime security, cyber cooperation, and joint military exercises.
- Strategic Partnership: The session also built upon the momentum created during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Riyadh in April 2025, which established a Ministerial Committee on Defence Cooperation.
