The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) said on Sunday that India showed that the Akash missile system could hit four targets in the sky at the same time from a distance of 25 kilometers.
It said that India was the first country to be able to do that with just one firing unit.
“India was the first country to show that it could hit four aerial targets at the same time from 25 km away using a single firing unit and command guidance.” “The test was done by @IAF_MCC with the Akash Weapon System,” the DRDO wrote on ‘X’.
It has been heard that the homegrown missile system’s power was shown off at the “Astrashakti” military exercise on December 12.
They were put on by the Indian Air Force.
The Akash is a short-range surface-to-air missile that can go up to 25 km. Its main job is to keep vulnerable areas and points safe from air attacks.
The missile system is one of the most important things that India sells to friendly countries.
Indian has also been exporting the Dornier-228 aircraft, the 155 mm Advanced Towed Artillery Guns (ATAGs), Brahmos missiles, mine-protected vehicles, armored vehicles, ammunition, thermal imagers, and different parts for small arms and avionics.
