Friday, Indian Air Force Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and his son, Squadron Leader Mihir V Chaudhari, flew a sortie in a Rafale fighter jet as part of a three-aircraft combat training mission from the IAF base in Hasimara, Bengal. The IAF said that the sortie “continues the best traditions of the IAF” and “shows how important it is to train and prepare young leaders for the challenges of the future.”
“#CAS looked at how ready the airbase was for operations and liked what they saw. They also talked to the people who worked there. He told the staff to keep working hard to protect the skies of the nation at all times,” the IAF said.

The IAF chief is at the EAC headquarters in Shillong for three days for the annual EAC Commanders’ Conference, which ends today.
When speaking at the conference on Thursday, the head of the IAF stressed the need for critical analysis and steps to improve operational readiness.
The IAF also told its commanders about the current security situation, the geopolitical situation, and the IAF’s role in handling different situations.
The Air Chief Marshal also talked about how important it is to keep operational readiness high and keep improving capabilities.
