Tuesday, the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) put out a list of 75 high-priority areas of technology that will help Indian defense manufacturers.
The list was shown for the first time at the “Anusandhaan Chintan Shivir,” which was held to encourage the business sector and academic institutions to focus on research and development in the defense manufacturing industry.
“The DRDO technology foresight 2023 was also made public. This document lists all areas, categories, and technology development efforts. “The document lists the areas of technology that different DRDO labs are working on right now,” the defense minister said.
It said that showing the 75 technology priority areas will give a big boost to the defense manufacturing sector by pushing the industry to make defense technologies in India and come up with new ideas.
The ministry said in a statement that the list of actions shows the future technology areas that will be needed to build defense systems and do research and development on defense to make the country safer.
The event’s most important speaker was Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan.
The Chief of Defence Staff praised the DRDO for putting on the “Anusandhaan Chintan Shivir” and talked about how important it is for the armed forces to have their own defense systems.
