75 CRPF Women “Daredevils” Ride 1,848 Km From Delhi To Naxal Bastion Chhattisgarh

75 “Daredevils” from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started a 1,848 km bike rally from India Gate in the national capital to the Naxal stronghold of Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh on Thursday. This is the first time anything like this has been done.

The women’s bike rally will end on March 25 in Jagdalpur, where the CRPF Day Parade will be held in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The rally will spread the message that women should have more power and that Naxalism or Maoism is almost over.

During their 17-day trip on Royal Enfield bikes, the 75 women from the CRPF will ride through almost five states.

Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs, waved off the CRPF Women biker rally from India Gate. At the event, women from the CRPF showed off their rifle drill, and a women’s pipe band and drummers also put on a show.

“As India celebrates the 75th anniversary of its independence, 75 women bikers from the CRPF will ride 1,848 km from India Gate to Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, through five states. “This women’s bike rally will end in Jagdalpur on March 25, which is also the day of the CRPF Anniversary Parade, which will be attended by Home Minister Amit Shah ji,” CRPF Director General Sujoy Lal Thaosen.

“During their trip, the women bikers will talk to school kids, people who work at Aanganwadi, and people who are part of self-help groups. They will also be moved by them.”

The DG said that some of the women who are taking part in the rally didn’t know how to ride bikes before, but they were taught and now have the experience of riding nearly 300 km in one go.

Thaosen also said that the bike rally and CRPF Anniversary Parade in Jagdalpur will send a strong message that Naxalism will soon be completely gone from the country.

MoS Meenakshi Lekhi also said that the women’s bike rally from Delhi’s India Gate to Chhattisgarh’s naxal bastion Jagdalpur sends “a clear message to women that we care about India and are here to protect it.”

Lekhi said, “CRPF is almost done with Naxalism, and Jagdalpur is the most Naxal-affected area. Women bikers from the force are going there to spread a message of peace, security, and goodwill.”

The CRPF is a force with almost 3.5 million members. Its job is to keep the country safe in areas where Naxals are active and in Jammu and Kashmir, which has been hit by terrorism.
