On Monday, Air Vice Marshal Manish Khanna took leadership of the College of Air Warfare (CAW), Secunderabad.
He graduated from the National Defence Academy (NDA) and was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF) in December 1986.
He is a Cat ‘A’ Qualified Flying Instructor with over 4000 hours of accident-free flying experience on a variety of fighter and trainer aircraft.
AVM Manish holds degrees from the Defence Services Staff College, the College of Air Warfare, and the National Defence College.
He has led a fighter squadron, an aircrew examination board, and a flying base.
The Air Officer has extensive operational experience in the areas of air defence, ground attack, strategic reconnaissance, and electronic warfare.
According to a defence statement, he received the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) in 2016 and the Vayu Sena Medal (VM) in 2010 for exemplary service.
