Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened Aero India 2023. When it started, it was Asia’s biggest air show. During the big opening ceremony of the huge air show, Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari of the Indian Air Force led a flypast by the Gurukul formation.
During the show, a Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) called Prachand that was made in India did tricks in the air. It’s important to note that the aircraft was made in India and is part of the Indian Air Force fleet. It was officially put into service in 2022.
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) designed, built, and tested the multi-role attack helicopter for more than a decade. It has been changed to meet the needs of the Indian armed forces so that it can operate in both desert and high-altitude areas.

The LCH also has a lot of features that make it stand out. It is the only assault helicopter in the world that can be used in the high-altitude areas of the Siachen glacier because it can land and take off at a height of 5,000 metres (16,400 feet). It can also hurt the enemy’s air defences and fire both air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles.
At the same time, Aero India 2023 is also promoting other planes made in India. Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Tejas, HTT-40, Dornier Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) will also be at the event.
