People who were familiar with the operation said on Wednesday that four Rafale fighter planes of the Indian Air Force (IAF) flew a “strategic” mission over the Indian Ocean region for more than six hours. This was a major demonstration of their long-range combat skills.
They said that the jets took off from the Hasimara Air Force station in the eastern sector, did their task, which included different maneuvers and simulated operations, and then went back to the base after getting the results they were looking for.
The mission was done by the IAF at a time when China was stepping up its position in the Indian Ocean, which is mostly thought of as the Indian Navy’s backyard.

People who were quoted said that the mission of the four Rafale jets showed that they were ready and able to handle a variety of difficult situations.
People who were mentioned above said that the operation took place very recently, but they didn’t say when.
The IAF also posted about the mission on Twitter.
“Four IAF Rafales went into the IOR on a long-range flight that took more than six hours. On their way to their Weapon Release Point, the planes “fought” their way through a big battle. The way of the IAF is “pickle on time, weapon on target.” it said.
