In the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir, a Border Security Force constable was last seen at his post near the Line of Control one month ago. The Bihar-born police officer was on general duty at the Bharani forward post in the Balakote area when he went missing. He was later found after a search.
After the police could not find the officer, a missing report was filed in the case.
Two weeks before this happened, in August, another soldier went missing in Kashmir’s Kulgam area while on leave to visit his family.
The soldier, whose name was Javaid Ahmad Wani, was last seen on August 29. His car was later found in Paranhall, which made people worry that terrorists might have taken him hostage. It took Kulgam Police a week to find him, though.
